“Women are having a worse experience than men. Women of color are having a worse experience than white women. And Black women, in particular, are having the worst experience of all.”
— Lean In and McKinsey & Company’s Annual Women in the Workplace Study

Black women face unrivaled challenges and barriers in business and the workplace. Black women are:

  • severely underrepresented in higher paying industries & jobs

  • severely underrepresented in leadership & management roles,

  • less likely to get to the training, development, and support necessary for success and advancement from their managers and firms

  • more likely to experience discrimination and microaggressions at work
